San Francisco Scrabble Club #95
The San Francisco Scrabble Club is open to Scrabble players of all levels, and we are always looking for new players! We currently meet Wednesday evenings in San Francisco. Come stop by for a game or two!
Time / Location
Wednesdays, 6pm
San Francisco Go Club
22 Peace Plaza #501
San Francisco, CA 94115
The Go Club is in the East Building of the Japan Center.
How does it work?
When you show up, you will be paired with someone else waiting for a game. Unlike other Scrabble clubs, we do not pair players by their rating or win/loss record for the night.
It’s okay to arrive late and you are welcome to stay for as many games as you like. We start at 6pm and most of us leave by around 10:45pm.
I’ve never been to a Scrabble Club. What do I need to know?
We play Scrabble following the Club/Tournament rules sanctioned by NASPA Games, the Scrabble Player Organization we are affiliated with. Here’s a great one-page summary covering the basics.
(thank you, Seattle Scrabble Club!)
If you have never played Scrabble this way, no worries! Someone will walk you through the most important points to follow.
Do I need to bring anything?
Pen and paper to keep track of your score during the games. We usually have enough Scrabble sets each night but feel free to bring your set.
I have more questions…
